SONY TAKES WEGA ® FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS TO NEW HEIGHTS
WEGA-Branded Hot-Air Balloon To Lift Off In 19 States
PARK RIDGE, N.J., April 23, 2001 - Sony WEGA will soar up, up and away in a 70-foot tall hot-air balloon adorned with a Sony FD Trinitron ® WEGA logo and an invitation to "Escape to a Place Called Sony." The Sony WEGA Fantasy Ballooning National Tour lifts off on April 27 in Tampa, Fla. and will travel to 19 states in eight months.

The WEGA balloon sponsorship falls in line with Sony's national branding initiatives designed to heighten consumer awareness of the highest quality flat screen televisions available.
