Hiroshi “Hiro” Kawano is senior vice president of Home Division.

From 2003 to 2005, Kawano was senior vice president of consumer sales in Richmond , Va. , managing Sony’s second-to-largest sales account, Circuit City . In 2002 (from 2000 to 2002) he was general manager for Sony’s COO (Chief Operating Officer) Office working for top management in Tokyo.

Between 1995 and 2002, Kawano held several positions at Sony headquarters in Tokyo , including manager of the corporate planning department in domestic marketing, general manager of the direct marketing department for Sony marketing of Japan and general manager of the planning and control department of Sony Global Headquarter.

Before that, Kawano was the general manager of Sony Europe International, establishing local marketing operations in eastern European countries. Kawano joined Sony headquarters in Tokyo in 1985 as an account manager in the domestic marketing division.
